How to Harvest Your Own Blooms at Wildwood Flora

Fresh cut flowers are a tremendous joy and one of our favorite traditions here on the farm. We believe that there is nothing like the experience of harvesting flowers and arranging them into a beautiful bouquet. To share this experience with you, we are now offering our very own U-Cut to spread the beauty of flowers from our farm right to your home.

As local growers, we cultivate specialty cut flowers specific to our bio-region. This means that you will not find long stem roses, unscented flowers, or flowers commonly found at the supermarket. Our flowers are truly unique, local, and grown with love and care. Discover tired and true heirloom varieties of cottage cutting flowers in vast arrays of colors to match your pallet!

When preparing for your very own U-Cut experience, please plan on arriving in the morning before the sun heats up. Our U-Cut is open during normal business hours all throughout the summer season. Make sure to bring your own bucket and scissors/pruners. Likewise, please review our safety and housekeeping rules, featured below, before your appointment so everyone is kept safe during this experience!

We are looking forward to sharing the beauty of flowers with you!

Flower options when you come to the farm:
-Growers bunch $10- looking for something small yet sweet? A growers bunch gives you 15 stems of your choice.
-Three gallon bucket $50- This size generally holds 40-70 stems depending on what flowers you choose. You will get about 4-5 quart size mason jar bouquets from this size bucket.
-Floral Scissors (if you forget yours) $25.00

House Keeping and safety:
-Our flowers attract bees that are far more interested in the flowers than humans in our fields. If you have allergies to bees please make us aware.
-Wear proper shoes/sandals. Closed toes are preferable.
-Keep to the sidewalks, please do not walk through the flower beds. If there is a flower you can’t reach please ask for assistance.
-Sunscreen and long sleeves to protect you from the hot sun
-Please bring your own water and pruners (we have a few pairs pruners available if you forget)
-Picnic benches under the shade are available to have lunch, play with your flowers to continue your outing after your time in the flower fields. Also for everyone's safety and comfort please follow social distancing to share the space with other flower lovers. We look forward to your visit and thanks for supporting local flowers!
-For bigger group events, such as garden clubs or school visits please RSVP at info@wildwoodflora.com

Sincerely,
